Mercury PVS Vent Plug Fittings

The Mercury Performance Vent System (PVS) allows an adjustable amount of exhaust gas to escape the propeller. This allows the propeller to spool up or accelerate in aerated water, thus making it easier for the prop to get up to speed. Once the propeller gets up to speed water flows over the vent holes and essentially closes off the vent, at that point the exhaust gas will continue to flow through the hub of the propeller as normal.

Mercury Performance Vent Plugs are available in 4 varying sizes; Solid PVS, Small, Medium, and Large. You can also completely remove the vent plugs for maximum venting.
